HOW IT WORKS

THE COMPLETE POLICY
Effective date: · Applies to the InvoiceTidy Chrome extension and this website.
InvoiceTidy is a Chrome extension that renames certain Stripe and AWS invoice PDF downloads. The extension processes supported invoice details locally in your browser. It does not upload your invoice PDFs or their contents to an InvoiceTidy server. If you buy a lifetime license, activation and license checks involve Dodo Payments.
On supported Stripe webpages and AWS billing pages, InvoiceTidy can read the text visible on the page to identify invoice dates and USD amounts. On AWS, its invoice extraction is limited to billing and cost-management pages. On Stripe domains covered by the extension, it checks visible page text for invoice-related labels.
With Chrome's Downloads permission, the extension checks download metadata such as the original filename and source or referring URL to decide whether a PDF qualifies for renaming. It does not read the downloaded PDF's contents. It does not intentionally read pages outside its supported Stripe and AWS domains.
The extracted vendor, invoice date, and amount are used to generate a filename such as Stripe_2026-10-14_$49.99.pdf. If the details are ambiguous, the original filename is left alone.
InvoiceTidy uses Chrome's extension storage for:
This information isn't sent to the InvoiceTidy developer as an invoice dataset. Chrome manages the local storage on your device.
Optional lifetime purchases open a Dodo Payments hosted checkout. Dodo Payments collects and processes the payment and customer details needed for the purchase, according to its own policies. The InvoiceTidy extension doesn't collect card details.
When you activate a purchase, the extension sends your license key to Dodo's licensing service over HTTPS. Activation also provides an activation label and receives an instance ID. Later license checks send your license key and instance ID to Dodo. The extension ordinarily rechecks valid licenses about once a week, and supports a limited offline grace period when the licensing service is temporarily unavailable.
Invoice text, amounts, filenames, and PDF contents are not included in these license requests. Payment and licensing records kept by Dodo are subject to Dodo's own retention and privacy practices. Learn more at Dodo Payments' data processing information .

Temporary invoice context is short-lived and isn't retained as a permanent invoice archive. The successful-rename counter and an activated license remain in Chrome's extension storage until you clear that storage or uninstall the extension. You can use the extension's Deactivate on this browser control to release a license activation, provided the licensing service is reachable.
Removing the extension does not erase purchase or tax records held by Dodo Payments. For questions about Dodo's records, follow Dodo's own support and privacy channels. For questions about InvoiceTidy's data handling, use the publisher's support contact described below.
